Now Hiring Private Security........

I just managed to knock out some of these minis from GZG- I've had them for a while, painted them in a generic blue 'Police' colour, given them a quick bath in nail varnish remover, and had another go. They are going to see duty as Security for some faceless conglomerate like a mining company or similar.

I seem to be using a lot of greens at the moment- different ones admittedly. Still, I quite like the idea of adding GW's 'Bad Moon Yellow' to the mix, rather than just adding white and washing it all out a bit. I suppose it has come out a little fluorescent, but at least there is contrast!

  5. Good looking corporate security fodder ;). Why oh why doesn't GZG have painted minis on their store page? If I had seen these guys painted up like this I probably would have snatched a pack when I placed my last order with them.

  6. Hey Mike, thank you kindly! Yes, I agree, Jon's stuff looks totally different with a lick of paint, and when I've seen his minis on other people's blogs, they really leap out at you. I'm sure there is a good reason for having unpainted stuff on his website store- he's such a good guy- probably time, or finding the right person to do a professional job that doesn't cost the earth! I don't know if you follow a blog called 'Mini Metal Mayhem', but Paul has a lot of GZG minis painted up, in fact, a number of his figures are the painted ones on the GZG site. Best wishes.
