Bounty Hunter

I just finished this mini except for the base and varnish, so I thought I would put up a couple of pictures as I haven't  posted anything for a while.

This figure was a joy to paint- the detail was crisp and well sculpted, and the casting was clean, with just a few strands from  'air holes' to nip off. I don't think my photography does it any justice, but it looks better in the flesh, so to speak, than it does here!

Thanks for peering in!

  1. Boba looks great. You did him good, Gunny. He's got some Super Surfer moves going on there!

  2. Thanks a lot, Jay. I really enjoyed this mini, but had to paint it in two short bursts over 2 evenings, 'cos real life always intrudes! Thanks for looking in!

  4. Cheers Simon. I'm a bit disappointed with the pictures, but not to worry. I just wish it could be seen properly before I slap a load of varnish on it!

  5. Yay! Great to see your version of this guy :) I see you went with the more colorful backpack... I've seen a bunch of conflicting photos so not sure what colours are canon for that.

So... when are you doing the rest? :D

    1. Well, it was seeing your rendition of this mini that made me decide to buy it. In fact, I have to confess I had a good look at your post when I was painting it, along with the images I pulled up from the internet. I was a little unsure about the jetpack/backpack colours, but as it was a relatively colourful figure already I went with it. As for the others, they may be a while! I need to Google Wookies, and that's not something I thought I would be saying! Thanks for visiting and commenting, Allison.

    1. Thanks Keith. Still here, just with little time recently to post anything. i have a number of figures on the go at the moment, but with builders in the house and the attendant upheaval, I don't really have anywhere to conduct modelling operations. Thanks for looking in.

  7. These look really good. How do they measure up next to other 15mm minis?

    1. I've only painted this figure from the set, but it scales quite nicely with the GZG figures, ie just slightly bigger than some 15mm minis, but fits in with most. It is a really nicely sculpted figure, and a real pleasure to paint.
