Armies Army Commonwealth Brits

Having posted a single figure from this range last week, I managed to paint a few more during a hectic weekend, so here is my first 'half squad'!

Once again, I found them great fun to paint. It's a fairly limited palette, but in theory, that should take me less time. Unfortunately, theory and reality seldom seem to coincide in my experience, but it didn't take any pleasure away from the painting.

As I have a good number of this range to paint, I'm wondering if I should attempt some form of camouflage for the Commandos, just for a bit of variety. I'm always unsure about camo at this scale- I find it difficult to achieve in 15mm- but I would like to try. Then there are the figures in power armour......should I do a different scheme for these as well? Decisions, decisions.

    These are looking very nice! The colors are very similar, but it actually works nice, and gives a good definition showing off the detail.

    The faces look great too.

    Thanks very much Mr. H! I like Keith's ideas for using some dollies from these to make another range. Have you got any good ideas for the power armour in this range?

    Nice work Gunrunner they look great. I think the trouble with camo at this scale is that it works a little to well! I'd go with some sort of black fatigues personally or perhaps a different shade of green maybe.

    Thanks Simon. Yes, that's exactly the point- camo at this scale just makes the minis disappear on the table. Seems a bit of a waste of time when it is generally agreed (I think) that strong contrast of shading is better for 15mm figures!
