I liked the idea of a quick fix with the posters- our printer is misbehaving, and there are pink stripes all over them, but it doesn't really show. The statue was dead easy- a base coat of GW scorched brown, then a dry brush of Army Painter Weapon Bronze- Ta-Dah! Allison (above) made a valid comment about vents and grills etc, so I may dress up the buildings a little more. Thanks for the comments!Gunrunnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00428966187307220717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229145415069940061.post-55178675800764685252014-02-03T12:29:49.748-08:002014-02-03T12:29:49.748-08:00Nice pieces, the posters & graffiti really bri...Nice pieces, the posters & graffiti really bring them to life - I especially like the spaceman statue on the plinth.Pawn Cocktailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06448354713523290985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229145415069940061.post-11528647207190985892014-02-03T10:32:58.318-08:002014-02-03T10:32:58.318-08:00Thanks Phil! I agree with you about some extra detail on the buildings. I do have some bits and pieces of vents, ACUs etc somewhere in the boxes of stuff that I can add, and I will consider the buildings a work in progress. Thanks for the suggestions, all gratefully received!Gunrunnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00428966187307220717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229145415069940061.post-81765578006154106302014-02-03T10:27:54.493-08:002014-02-03T10:27:54.493-08:00Thanks Jay!Thanks Jay!Gunrunnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00428966187307220717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229145415069940061.post-40137431765674867482014-02-03T10:27:22.123-08:002014-02-03T10:27:22.123-08:00I have wondered about filling in the windows with ...I have wondered about filling in the windows with something like acetate sheet or similar- that's nice and thin and can be cut with scissors. I also wavered about putting in the doors, and finally opted for 'some in, some out'!Gunrunnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00428966187307220717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229145415069940061.post-67655530901181860472014-02-03T10:25:02.326-08:002014-02-03T10:25:02.326-08:00Cheers Simon, greatly appreciated!Cheers Simon, greatly appreciated!Gunrunnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00428966187307220717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229145415069940061.post-21076438269264120442014-02-03T04:35:37.048-08:002014-02-03T04:35:37.048-08:00Great looking buildings, I love the first one and ...Great looking buildings, I love the first one and the ruins!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229145415069940061.post-20619668348272362312014-02-03T03:44:48.798-08:002014-02-03T03:44:48.798-08:00Really like them alot!

I like the signs and posters on these which make them feel a lot more "real", but I think exterior details like vents, air conditioners/filters, ladders and fire escapes would make them look even better. The bank roof especially needs some micro and macro texture.Allison M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08362700513221195102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229145415069940061.post-62991190348986516272014-02-02T17:21:32.803-08:002014-02-02T17:21:32.803-08:00Sweet!Sweet!Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12601444762722458674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229145415069940061.post-9425688866866817372014-02-02T15:06:43.393-08:002014-02-02T15:06:43.393-08:00Great stuff!
